Topic : Starting a Women's Institute in Silsden |

Have been looking for nearest WI to join and see the nearest is Skipton.Maybe there are enough ladies interested in starting one in Silsden. Apparently all we need initially are 8 interested people. Anyone up for it? |

How about putting notice up in Silsden St James, Methodist Church ect and also in local shops? Perhaps giving a little info about Women's Institute ? |

A new WI group is starting in Bingley on Monday 16th September. At the Church House, Old Main Street @ 7.30. |

Have just noticed there is an established group in Cross Hiils meeting the first Tuesday in the month at 7.30 that didn't come up on my initial search. Think I will go along to that and see how they did it. Anyone want to come with me, let me know here and I will give you my contact details. |

Silsden Sports Club would be a good venue for a morning or afternoon meeting room if you get something going with the WI or any other meeting group. Plenty of parking, great outlook, large screen projector and free Wi Fi for visiting guest speakers. |

I’m interested too as this forum is boring the pants of us!...but then my hubby doesn’t mind that!!  I’m led to believe the Children’s Centre/zone is looking for people to utilize its rooms! |

Reading this topic it would seem the interest is there but no one is willing to put their hand up and say "let's do it"!!!!! If you want something to happen you have to get out there and do something to make it happen. |

looks to be enough interest on here i am prepared to attend but not sure i ant to commit to set it up has i do work just need something to do while hubby working |

Really good to see so much interest. Unfortunately since my original post my circumstances have changed and I am not now able to take this project on but could maybe give some help and support to anyone willing to get the ball rolling |
