It tells you your polling station on the front of your poll card. |

I would suggest everybody gets themselves a postal vote then you don't have to bother going to a polling station, mine is already done. Just a suggestion! |

As u said some time ago, I will not set foot in the town hall, given the principles of past events. Unless you have applied for a postal vote within the last week or so, it will not arrive in time now. I did mine three weeks ago. My vote was posted last Monday.
It would appear that people have been given time slots? How can it be guaranteed that there will only be two wheel chair users in the busing at any one time? (TIC). Are they planning on the populace from abstaining on voting? |

This is not quite true.
This rule only applies to the use of the upper floor when there has to be someone trained to use the emergency evacuation chair.
It's also the case that the only fully disabled toilet is on the upper floor and the only way for a wheelchair user to get to the upper floor is by using the lift (which will not be in use unless there is someone trained in the use of the emergency evacuation chair in the building).
You can have more than 2 wheelchair users on the ground floor, but keep in mind if they had to use the emengency exit at the rear of the building there are several steps to negotiate.
The Town Hall is disabled complient, Bradford say it is!!!! |

Access to buildings and into buildings
Suitable access should be provided from the edge of the site or disabled car spaces should be provided close to the entrance of the building. Ramped or level access should be provided to the main entrances. So where is the disabled parking?. |

So you are saying to people with disabilities (GET A LIFE AND MOVE ON) that's a bit harsh isn't it? |

I have been to the Library three times since the opening of the Town Hall. I am in a powered wheelchair so I can go down to the Co-op, in the park etc. First time I went to the Library I had to bang on the outside door as the bell push is on the inside glass door. Originally it was too high for a wheelchair user, but after I complained they are going to lower it.
I asked a passer by if they would ring the buzzer for me, she rang 3 times and still nobody came. Eventually I asked her to knock on the window and a lady came. She said that they could hear a bell ringing but they didn't know what it was. I asked for the large print books and a gentleman had to move furniture out of the way, and turn a cabinet round a little for me to see the books. The Library staff were really helpful but I felt a bit guilty at the trouble I was causing.
Each time I go I have to ask a member of the public to go in and press the buzzer for a member of staff to open the door. I cannot access the downstairs toilet as it is too small. The next time I go to the Library I will ask the staff if anyone is trained.
I myself use a postal vote, but my sister-in-law will be away on holiday and she has made arrangements for me to vote for her. I will have to wait and see if things run smoothly. |

Only one thing to say to the Town hall moaners GET A LIFE AND MOVE ON Just look at the obvious state of the place! Window frames already black as the proverbial, peeling paint. That's just the aesthetics. Try going in with a toddler and baby. |
