Thank you midway. Just to let you know some slight changes to the programe. Bricks for kidz will not be their unfortunately however......The Frozen princesses will be on the field singing and talking with the children. So...ignore the weather forcast and come join in the fun and make it a great day!!!!!! |

The first Gala in Silsden ( i think ).  Silsden Brass Band leads the procession at what is believed to be the town's first gala, in 1908. The event was called Silsden Charity Carnival (it became a 'gala' after the Second World War) and was held to raise money for the Helping Hands Fund for relief of poor people. The procession is shown passing the Red Lion. |

That's a great picture, there is a Facebook page that posts all the old pictures of Silsden, I wonder if he has seen this one? Silsdenbuzz have posted all todays photographs on their website too. Me and my family have had a lovely day. (even if it did rain). |
