On friday evening Silsden had more police officers up and down the bolton road and kirgate area than I seen before for what reason anybody know |

a couple of weeks ago while out for a walk we came back through centre of silsden and there were three police cars and a police van cruising round, it was about 9pm and a friday.We saw about 5 instances of law breaking and they just ignored it.Everyones always asking for more police in silsden so maybe they have listened!!Video van was driving round waterside estate on wednesday afternoon, I think that must be because of the break ins in the early hours. |

Ever thought they just might have been in Silsden because of the bad publicity the Town got in the local paper report of the Town Council meeting? It is nice that they were spotted in town, but when they do come here why do you lot have to be so negative? If you want more Police in our town then make sure you report each and everything; that causes you to wish they were here. |

I prefer to see police about at the weekends. I never feel comfortable going out any evening with all the kids hagning out in the park and round the take aways. |

what bad publicity grandad? I did not see anything in the keighley news this week. I think its good that we are having more of a police prescence, providing of course that they actually do something when they see someone breaking the law. |

Could it have been because the schools has just broken up, and they were making sure that the youngsters didn't quaff large quantities of Ginger Beer ! |

I tried making ginger beer once and it turned alchoholic! Wonderful stuff, it fermented in the bottles and blew the tops off! |

The papers reported that kids were gathering mainly down sykes lane on the old wood yard, getting drunk and smashing things, one drunken youth even mooned at the Town Lady Mayor when she tried to remonstrate with him. If they only drank ginger beer they wouldn’t be a problem, They drink anything they can get hold of that will get them legless ASAP. They are pretty good at hiding it as well; the police often take lots of it away from them, |
