Well another peaceful night in Silsden, I wonder if all the parents who let there children wander around Silsden knocking on complete strangers doors know exactly what there children are doing. We have had apples thrown at our door for no apparent reason. Unless you go round with your children to people you know, isn't it just another form of begging. Just think of how the old people in our community feel tonight, probably terrified. |

Do you know the names of these (so called) children? If so,why not use the Police Contact Postbox which is situated in the Post Office(to the right of the counter).Write their names and address on a piece of paper and pop it in the box.I know their parents SHOULD know what they are up to, but a visit from the police WILL let them know what they are up to. It is up to you if you want to leave your contact details. The police will still act on it. |

The postbox had a Police press launch and was in the paper. It is not getting used enough and it would be a shame to loose it. Any info that will help the Police stop anti social behavour in Silsden will be welcome. When the Police visit the one name, hopefully they will find out who the others are and they will all get a visit.
Silsden needs more people to be like you Phill and instead of just sitting on their butts complaining about the Police, actually doing their bit to help bring these bunch of brats to task and making both them and their perents accountable for their actions. |
