Has anyone else been in the new sweetie shop (Candy Fest) on Elliot St? I went in the other day what a lovely selection of sweets, just reminded me of the wooden hut that used to be over the road from them, lots of old favourites. |

I work away from home but when last home No. 2 daughter suggested 'I might like to look in the new shop'. Suffice it to say that my German colleagues loved the selection I brought back across for them to try. I have been tasked to bring back more. |

I remember it, when I started work in the area I used to collect from the family which ran it, that was in 1972, I can't remember their name or when it closed but I think it would have been late 70's early 80's? |
