The airport sale means Bradford Council have £10.30 to spend on every person in the Council area.Looking at the proposals very little is coming to Silsden.Unless you count the £33,000(wow) which works out at just £2 per person in Silsden!!!! |

Sounds about right 'gazzer', but they'll have a nice park and canal in the centre of Bradford - WOW! What use is that to us, can't remember when I last visited the centre of Bradford, or know when I intend to again! Will be a long time though! |

Do you mean B C M D C, because that includes Silsden, or just the old City of Bradford, wherever the last border was? It is a pity, but Bradford does seem to have lost the plot a bit. |

Well the lottery bid for the park in Bradford fell through.So guess that will be replaced by the airport money. Its typical Bradford.Its a laughing stock.Nothing gets done.Look at The Odsal superdome and the new city centre shopping complex. |

It's restored my faith in the lottery, at least they have the sense to see that there are better things to spend money on than a swamp in the middle of Bradford! BUT, no doubt the Tory led council won't want to lose face and will try and get the money from some other source, i.e. US!!!!!!!!!!!!!  |

The real reason Bradford and many other projects are missing out on lottery funding is because 'that lot' in London are grabbing more and more for the Olympics ,which this country cannot afford and does not need. When the decission was announced I'm sure there were more people cheering in france that in England. |

The lottery can spend the money on what they want for me 'robin' because I don't buy a ticket  Just don't want my council tax spent on the centre of Bradford when there's plenty that they could spend money on in Silsden! |

Alan, Silsden ratepayers have been subsidising Greater Bradford since local government re-organisation. we won't stop it now. |

I never complain about taxes. They pay my pension and now pay most of my bus fares. thank you workers, please keep up the good work, keep paying those taxes and one day you will start getting it back. |

I have legs as well and walk to the bus route, although living just off Ings Way I do have access to the little bus, pity it is not as regular as it once was. |

On Waterside 'claymoreking' that's if you don't count the "mickey mouse" service we now have thanks to Metro! As for 'wahiba' you're fortunate, lots of oap's in this area have suffered because they can't walk to the bus! I wonder if that's why the taxi service is now flourishing. What a way to treat people who have paid taxes all their life, give them a free bus service and then take the buses away! |
