son has had five alloy wheels and tyres stolen from our backyard yesterday(friday) back of fairfax street ,day before i saw 3 lads in a white van looking in ppls gardens drove down the back of my road,,,did anyone see a van yesterday afternoon round silsden and maybe got the reg about time people like this got done from the police ,pinching peoples stuff in broad daylight is a bloody cheek |

did this van no.plate end in jaw and they is another van goin round the end of the no.plate is oeo keep ur eyes open 4 these vans if they nick owt off my friends i will be dealing with them my way |

i got by the police in silsden the other week they pnc me im alll in order im the 1 who is licensed and our family have run this area since 1920s you all know us as p& j narey of silsden both our vans are stickered up in red ova blue you can ring us wen eva u want ull find our nunbers on here as we advertise with silsden net |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) They are probably not thieves and im sure the lock was already off the gate, but it might be worth a look around the back of Riverside Mill to see if the van is there, just on the off chance. There are a few Fords but not sure if they are all pick ups or not. |

Personally I am wary when they are in town because of the reputation that follows them. |

Good news..Lancashire police have caught a scrap theif with £300 worth of scrap in his van. Bad news..He just got a caution |

how did the travellers get into the site? I thought there was a great big concrete barrier in place. Maybe they will be moving on soon, Appleby horse fair this weekend |

The concrete barriers were removed for access but the gate was locked. Alledgedly the lock was off when they arrived. Funny that it always seems to have been removed when they turn up. Supposedly they are on their way to Glasgow not Appleby. They have left the site now and I bet if you ask them, it wasnt them that have trashed the site leaving glass and mess everywhere. Keep vigilant though sometimes I hear they suss out places to steal from and return in a week or so hoping that people wont think its them once they have left the area. |

i KNOW WHAT YOU ALL THINK OF THESE SCRAP METAL COLLECTORS. THERE ARE SCUM! WE DO NEED TO GET THEM OUT OF OUR TOWNS/VILLAGES. PLEASE DONT TAR US ALL WITH THE SAME BRUSH THERE ARE A FEW OF US THAT ARE LICENCED AND DO THIS WORK FOR A LIVING. i suppose a good rule of thumb would be if sign writing is on the side of the van (as i believe yours is pednjulie) then your not going to be stealing things cant remember seeing a sign written van saying steal it n scarper on the side pilfering and taking without consent a speciality phone 01234 567890 |

It's true, all should have gone back Tuesday, but understand 2 classes will have to go back Wednesday instead. School doing their best, but mindless thieves again. Where next, eh? |

seems like theft has been on the rise ever since they got rid of in village police houses ,these scumbags know if any one was to catch em or report em that they would have plenty of time to clear the area .....bring back police houses in villages and while were at it post a permanent one down fairfax and surrounding areas seems they come down here looking two three times a week |
