Secure your gardens, I Watched a lad today ( mid twenty's ish) enter a garden and have a good look around. He then knocked at the door, got no answer so came back into the garden. I asked what he was doing, he asked what time the owners would be back. He then was about to go into another garden, I asked what he wanted he said scrap. I told him there wasn't any. He was white 5 8" ISH THIN with a tattoo on the back of his neck, spoke with a gordie accent. A mate was with him, he had a wheelborrow with bits of scrap in it. I believe they had a white transit van. Police have been informed because they are not asking just walking into gardens and searching around.Please contact police if you see them in action or acting suspiciously and secure you sheds. |

What area was this ??? Somebody matching this description was in my neighbours garden the other day and my dog drew attention to him but he did knock on the door when he knew id spotted him. He then asked my neighbour if they wanted to sell one of there cars. He went and got in a van that cleary had a name on the side a white transit type but with a cage type thingy on the back (bit like a council one). Could this be the same person? |

Today he was in Keighley Rd area. So far he says he was looking for scrap.He also told a neighbour he was at a party in one of the houses but could not remember which one and has lost his wallet.I don't like the way he askes " what time will people be home". You say he was asking to buy a car. He seems to have a lot of reasons to be in peoples gardens!!!I believe the tattoo on his neck may have read" Newcastle".If you or anyone else sees this white van. PLEASE ring NHP AND TRY AND GET THE REG. |

I will keep an eye out for him. I don't like the thought of anyone in the garden as ours is relatively easuly accessible, though the dog does go mad if she hears the gate open. Which side of keighley Road was he on? and what time? I do keep my doors securely locked even when I am in and I don't answer the doors when I am in on my own. |

I can never understand why people have their names and places of origin tattooed on themselves. Is it just in case they forget who they are and where they live one wonders ???!!! |
