All so called free newspapers should be banned, in particular the one sent out by Bradford council, they are a waste of resources and in the case of the Bradford one; tax payers money, most of them end up discarded virtually unread, just get on any train and see the number of the metro ones dumped, most I believe end up in land fill. |

You can pick up the Target in Silsden Library. T I think they stopped delivering it quite while ago. |

I know you will all say "We are not in Spain" !! but when we spent some time there all free papers were in bars, shops, restaurants (all public places) and were full of useful information , especially to those who didnt have a computer |

I partially agree with grandad that we should not get 'free' papers through the post because its a waste of money and fatty your idea seems like a good one via then people in this town might just start shopping locally and this thread just shows you how long its been since most in this town have actually used the local library which is free...... Cos if they had used it they would know where to get their dearly belowed target........ |

Silsden has been cut from the Target's delivery area. Newsquest made the Silsden delivery boys/girls/adults redundant... |

Free DVD rental? I don't think so. Free internet yes, free books yes, free read of loads of papers yes (Target hardly worth reading IMHO), but I think DVDs are about £2.00 a week, which is fantastic value but I don't get 'em free. You might though. |

Why is it when a genuine question is asked on this forum that people feel the need to have a 'dig' all the time.
Yes, the library is a local facility, but it is not always possible due to my working hours to visit, and am sure that this is the case for more residents of Silsden.
Perhaps more people would use this forum if polite/constructive answers were provided!!! I know I won't be posing any more question..... |
