IMPORTANT PLEASE READ This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. this post has been edited 1 time(s) Does anyone know if this builder has permision to build in a back garden on Howden Rd or are they being presumptious? www.bairstoweves.co.uk/buy/property/3-bedroom-bungalow-in-howden-road,bd20-for-%C2%A3265,000-ref-1339455/ I understood the current government were stopping this |

i think what you're referring to is local government 'snatching' garden plots from home owners to build new housing on & you're right, there has been talk about stopping this. In this case if a home owner wants to develop a plot of land they already own, within planning rules they can pretty much do as they please. A few doors up from this house on howden road there is another house which has also had an additional house built the empty plot behind. If you look on Google maps you can see that several of these houses have very large empty plots behind them |

This property was recently on the market at 350,000 with the full garden. Still retaining a decent garden but now more affordable at 265,000. ____________ I couldn't find any planning permission for anything on Howden Road, but that is probably down to me and Bradford's c**p planning site. |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) I am sure its No33 in which case the builder(Procter Bros/builders?) is confident. Anything is possible with dodgy Bradford Council planning dept. Incidently a friend has contacted the estate agent from whom a Mr Andrew Procter has replied saying the planning is in and a decision should be made in around 8 weeks. |

Last day to object tomorrow. Its all very strange from the developers presumption of planning to highways objecting but then withdrawing objections with just days togo when new plans are added but these plans have not been made public. www.planning4bradford.com/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=documents&keyVal=LRAOTKDHC1000 |

Makes very interesting reading. I had searched before on Bradford planning but could not find the application. I am surprised at how few people have objected considering the location. On the otherhand I don't think that I would like to buy one of the bungalows as they will be overlooked from 3 sides. Wonder how much they will cost. |
