This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

Can anyone help with a bit of information please? I've found that there used to be a mill standing at Monkmans Wharfe but can find no record of what kind of industry went on in it. Does anyone know? Also, how long ago did it cease being used?

It used to sort rabbit furs until it closed to build houses. Before that it was a textile mill.
