This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

If its true that double yellow lines are to be painted outside the cricket ground, then surely a couple of didabled parking spaces need to be left near the entrance.I know you can park with blue badges but only for 3 hours.Cricket games go on all afternoon. That means anyone who used blue badges would have to move their car after 3 hours.

Surely any disabled drivers would find spaces within the ground itself, access rules and all that. Hope they double yellow line it from the river to the canal, on both sides.

Last Sunday cars were parked from near the bridge all the way up to the new traffic island obstruction.

I'm not concerned about most of this parking, now that it's 40mph there it shouldn't be a problem, but when idiots park so close to the new traffic island that they have to be halfway up the pavement to allow traffic to pass by... shocked 8O

Obviously double yellow lines are needed for those dumbos who have no idea about sensible/safe parking.

what about the parking on the canal bridge...
It amazes me that people park on the canal bridge at all - obstructing the road where visibility is obstructed by the hump of the bridge is just pure stupidity!

I know - they park outide the pub & fish'n'chip shop and also directly opposite... it's just an accident waiting to happen.
