The roadworks have all now been postponed until the new year following my wife speaking with yorkshire water and bradford council. As local business owners we were concerned about the impact on trade over the critical christmas period and also with the upcoming Christmas lights switch on and the planned procession, none of which had been taken into consideration. After a quick discussion with the right people, common sense prevailed |

No traffic lights at all on at Kirkgate by Clog Bridge after 3pm this afternoon, lights being apparently being repaired. |

Just a heads up.....
Although the traffic lights will not be around for the period up to Christmas they will be back in the New Year.
From the 5th January for 4 weeks the roads will be dug up to join Atlantis (Saxon Dean) to mains services.
4 of the parking bays (from opposite Dogs Body toward the old Post Office) will be removed and replaced with double yellow lines to ease the traffic pinch point. This is ONLY A TEMPORARY MEASURE.
Happy Christmas!

Surely the time has come for those "temporary" lines to become permanent. It's a reasonable compromise to allow some parking there, and to ease the pinch point which causes so many problems? |
