Could anyone enlighten me as to what licences are required, close seasons if any, and fish liable to be caught etc are in the canal in the Silsden area (ie walking distance from the main bridge).

Best bet is to ask at GeeTee on Briggate. Some nice carp and stuff in the canal.

Not sure what it was, but I saw what looked like a submarine cruising just below the surface a couple of weeks ago, must have been a big carp.

Keighley licence loads of silver fish/perch/pike/gudgion and carp bream at the gas works/brunthaite bridge no closed seasonhappy :)
