This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

Just wondered if anyone knows which year the Cinema at the bottom of Bradley Road closed?

I remember seeing "Smiley Gets A Gun" around the late 50`s, early 60`s?

I have a photo but don`t know how to add it......

i;m too young to remember it as a picture house but i do remember as a kid wandering around the disused tube factory as it became, before it was converted to housing. The various glass valves made great toys, the broken glass everywhere not so much

I love the picture of all the old tickets, If its OK I would like to print the image off and frame it ... it would go nice next to my other random pictures (I have eclectic taste)
