Hi Hope this is the right place to ask a question about some local history. You may be aware of the Been Busy shop at 56 Kirkgate - www.beenbusysilsden.com The shop is keen to adopt the local community as much as possible and provide the chance for people to learn new crafting skills and a place to pop in for a chat - as well as buy unique handmade craft items. This is not a sales pitch, but more about days gone by. The property itself has been a flower shop, computer shop, a hairdressers and doubtless other uses too that would be great to know about. What I want to do is add more info about Silsden and it's history to our web site and so are very keen to know about 56 Kirkgate in particular. A few customers have told us a little about what they know, including someone who knew a family member that used to live in the house as it was some years back. So what does anyone know about 56 Kirkgate? Any useful information and any pictures would be great. I am more than happy to add any relevant feedback to our web site. Thanks very much in advance. |
