Director of Commercial Affairs James Ferguson is urging supporters to attend a special day at the Keighley Road Stadium this Saturday.
Turnstiles to the ground will be open from 12.30pm on Saturday as the First Team play host to last season’s NWCFL Champions, Colne FC (ko 3pm). Face painting, a bouncy castle and two junior fixtures lead the pre match entertainment making the day a true family affair. Supporters will then get the chance to see new and old players taking to the field aiming to impress ‘’gaffa’’, James Gill, ahead of the forthcoming season.
Post-match entertainment sees a Silsden Vets side take on the old Silsden Sundays side (ko 5.30pm) in the newly created ‘Arthur Tillotson Cup’ in memory of the late Clubs Life President, who sadly passed away recently.
In addition, supporters will have the chance to carry on the days merriment'sin a charity fundraising event held separately in the sports bar which includes a live band and a hog roast dinner, tickets are priced at £10 per head with all proceeds going to the Pink Ribbon Foundation
James is hoping that fans will stick around for the evening and help to raise as much funds as possible to go towards such a great cause.
He told silsdenafc.net: "It would be really nice to see a lot of people bring their families down and experience a great day and stick around for the evening charity event. A lot of work has gone in to the evening charity event and the club would like to thank everyone for contributing their time and effort in which will be a great occasion.
Entry to the football ground on Saturday is ‘pay what you like’, with the evening entertainment priced at £10 per person (limited tickets now remaining) |

Don't forget though that it's summer (you can tell because the rain is warmer than in winter) and the genteel English summer game of cricket will of course be being staged that day at the Sports Club (weather permitting) as it is every Saturday from late April to mid September, so parking might be an issue with the huge crowds that the cricket will no doubt attract! |

Sorry just noticed "director of commercial affairs" pmsl....... Why, what would you call someone who instigates and directs the commercial affairs of a semi pro club Dodzi?
The main fact is it was a HUGE success with hundreds upon hundreds supporting our raising of money for The Pink Ribbon Appeal.
Thanks to all who helped and attended and saw a four figure sum raised. |

Dodzi again just reading your comments and they are the same for any organisation you have this knack of knocking everything that occurs in Silsden why don't you get off your backside and go and see what all thehard work is all about instead of knocking it football ,cricket car boots events in park well almost anything that doesn't appeal to you tunnel vision |

This has now gone beyond extra information for this event subject matter. EVENTS - ANNOUNCEMENTS - MEETINGS is not a discussion area of this forum. |

One final point Floyd - you'd better check my history of getting off my backside and helping since I had a good 10 years for helping with the gala and 4 with the sewer rats. |
