See www.silsden.net/silsden_news/News2.asp?NewsID=145

A council-owned building on Wesley Place was next up, but with estimated costs for refurbishment topping £80,000, it was deemed too expensive.

So why can't SOME of the money from the sale of the police station be used to refurbish this building? At least something would be put back into the community.

Despite the continuing protestations of Silsden Town Council the way the town has been treated by the police and Bradford Met is a joke.
It is estimated that the police take away some £250,000 to £300,00 per year in community tax from the town and what do we get for it?
The idea of the contact point in the fire station is laughable and an insult to all in Silsden.
As regards the police station, the chance of seeing any money is remote, how else are they going to pay for their shiney new police station in Keighley?
