The bus is from the annual pot leek trip from the Northeast, the gearbox went on Saturday and a replacement bus was organised to take the lads home.

I don't know when it will be recovered but I would'nt think they will leave an expensive vehicle for very long.

You could always give them a ring the number is on the back of the bus.

The Bus appears to be parked fairly clear of any junctions, there are no yellow lines on the road where it is parked. Whilst it may be blocking light from some of the houses on Skipton Road, is it breaking any laws ?

Perhaps we should have more obstructions parked around Silsden to stop "drivers" thinking it's a race track.

The speed that some people come down Skipton road is amazing, If they have to look out for obstacles such as parked vehicles (of all sizes) It may make them use the middle pedal and slow down, surely it's a 30 mph zone and is directly opposite a vey well used path to both local schools, and should be sign posted as such.

Perhaps it should be made a residents parking only zone, but then who would police it ? and where would the patients from the dentists and people going to the Vets, and chapel of rest park ?

Drive to the road conditions not to the speed limit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bothe the vets and the dentists attract customers from a large catchment area not just from Silsden, are you implying that the facilities should only be available to Silsdeners ?

If there are no dental or vetinary facilities in the neighbouring towns and villages e.g. Steeton, Addingham, Kildwick, Farnhill, Draughton etc.it makes sense that they utilise the nearest available. (and make a bit of cash for a Silsden business)

I notice that you didn't mention the Chapel of Rest. At least we agree that the dead cannot be expected to walk

clear of any junction tetley??? try pulling out of hothfield street to turn right down skipton road.i might as well shut my eyes and throttle it and hope for the best! or should i choose a different route,or maybe walk to work in halifax? it's just a pain where it is and so is the camper van just up the road. now, where's that dynamite i put away for a rainy day?

Yes it is very annoying, more so for mum's pushing their pushchairs and trying to cross kids from school. You can't possibly do it safe there. But do you know what i do, instead of using hothfield i use a different street.
As for the camper van, why don't one of you go and speak to the person who owns it, you can't miss their house it's parked right outside it. You could always put a complaint in the box in post office but as the PCSO walks past it most days i can't see anything being done about it either.

Bob T it sounds to me as if the drivers are notobserving the highway code, "Drive at a speed at which you can in the distance you can see to be clear."
If they all do that then there will not be any problems
