Walked past last night and popped in to see if there were any menu's available, (they were still being printed apparently)
I was told it is owned by an Italian who has a chain of "two" Italian restaurants, it looks as though it will be a nice place, we will certainly give it a try.
It will have to be good to tempt us away from Stephano's though.

Its apparently the same owners as the Italian restaurant on East Parade in Keighley next to the Bolt Makers pub. I've never been, does anyone know if its nice - the one in Keighley? Might give an indication of what to expect in Silsden.

don't think they will have many customers tonight, I have not seen any publicity for it, just noticed a piece of paper pinned to the door don't even know what it is called.
stephanos is ok but its a bit off putting when you are out for a meal and people are coming in to collect takeaways! it is too small

Just goes to show how different people like different things.
Its all part of the charm at Stefano's, any bigger and it would probably lose it's cosy atmosphere.

Each to his own though.

went last night, food was excellent....when it finally arrived. I went with the expectation of a few opening night teething troubles so wasn't too bad.

Food: 10/10 (not sure about serving veg with a pasta dish though?)
Price: 9/10 (well i am from yorkshire!!!)
service: 2/10 (waiting staff did their best but booked for 7:30pm seated at 8pm, 45mins for starter and then another 45mins for main, sorry guys)

will i go back, yes but I'll maybe wait a month or so until up to speed.

reminds me of when I went to bella napoli in crosshills and despite booking a table for 8pm (we arrived about 10 mins early) we waited almost 2 hours in the bar by which time we were getting past wanting any food.It was 11pm when our main course came, much too late for eating, by way of apology we were given a free round of drinks, we were already rather inebriated from the 2 hour wait beforehand!! never been back there.

In my opinion.....

Bella Napoli - Good steaks, everything else just ok.

Amici's (east parade keighley) - really nice food, friendly, but was very quiet so no problem with service. Quite a few tables so a busy saturday might be different.

Stefano's - Specials are always really tasty and different but i also hate the fact of takeaway customers sat on your shoulders

We went to the new place at the Grouse two weekends ago. The food was excellent and the service was just as good - and the place was full. Nice to have somewhere to park too.

Very enjoyable and will definitely go back. I wish them all the best with their new venture.

We had a walk down on Tuesday evening to look at the menu on the wall outside.
The prices are about average I would say, but at 6:15pm it looked very quiet, maybe they should have an "early bird" menu with reduced prices up till 7pm to drag the commuters in.
Oakley's in Skipton do this and it obviously works for them, as we always have to book to ensure we get a table.

Someone I know went on Sunday night. Said food is ok, prices above average and service is appalling. Over 45 minutes wait for main course.

Could be that it needs a visit from Gordon Ramsey!

You really had to wait that long? I've never in my life had a bad experience at Stefanos. Get back and try them again, you're missing out! javascript:smileyInsert(topicform.message,%20'laugh :D');

Anyone know if they're going to change the name of the Grouse? Its not very italian sounding is it xx

Even if they changed the name to something very Italian sounding we would all still call it the Grouse so they probly think it too expensive to bother with new signs.
