hi my name is john haywood ,,, i lived in silsden when i was very young .. my late father , my late grandperants come from there .. i think a iot about when i lived up there ,, the little water fall , the mills where i went to see my grandmother ( alice haywood ,, nee cooper ) my grandfather john ( jack ) haywood . and would like to know if there are anyone in silsden that remember me my family , or if there is any distant family still there . i left silden as a young boy age 5 ,, there was also my brothers gary, peter,and karen my sister .. i would very much like to hear from anyone with info how ever small that may be , even just to know how the place is now and posible photos of there , . thank you for your time

my family come from silsden and i lived there till 1968-69 but came back many years after that till i was a teen ,, people from silsden , kigthley ,would keep eye on us when my dad put us on national express coach sta , vic , london .and they new my family ,. i am 47 now and would just like to no more of how silsden is thes days and would love to come back and see the place again , as once in you it never leaves , i could still walk around there and no where i was , my greatuncle had his picture in the big house ( castle , thats what i called it as a kid ) between silsden and kightley

In the 1950s Whilst i was growing up
in Silsden there was a Michael Haywood.
Would he be a relative of yours? I guess
he would be around 70 years old now.

thank you very much for reply ,, yes that is my dad ,, and im sorry to say he passed away 5 years back , but would very much like to make contact ,, just to no more of my dad how ever little that may b ,, just to come up there and to see the place again , and to remember my dad and my grandperants would b fantastic , once again thank you for your reply

I was speaking with my parents today and dad remembers your grandma Alice he worked with her in the mills and said what a lovely lady she was.
