Left the house earlier to see a truck leaving my back street - thought it odd and found out that they had made off with a radiator that we had put in the back yard. Thankfully its not a huge loss and I am not sure if we were going to use it again anyway but.. be wary of a White Ford Transit with two lads probably scouting the area - reg plate T531 GOJ. |

Had some ladders pinched from Norton St wednesday afternoon. Left them at the front while we went round the back to do some window cleaning, came back and they had been pinched. Lad came out of an house and told me that the culprits were in a white transit pick up van but failed to get a registration no!! Is this the same people? |

Well both vehicles registrations are correct according to the interweb - T-reg is a Long wheelbase Transit X-reg is a Transit tipper Report 'em ! Bri |

NOT GUILTY: to any of these nasty activities.but would like to keep these crooks out of our town,so we p&j narey of silsden. will work with you as a community to stop these theives. we advertise on silsden.net and would graciously help you if you are stuck with any white goods/scrap metal ie :washers dryers radiators boilers etc.....you ring us and we will get to you the same day. many thanks pete and julie narey. 07796 356607 or julie 0751 9181860. we are fully licensed with the environment agency |

So you pay the going rate for scrap metal - less a collection charge obviously for those who can't transport it themselves? With the increase in scrap metal prices at the moment, any metal that can be picked up and weighed in is a temptation for the less honest. I was rather stunned a few weeks ago to get probably 10 times for a couple hundred kilogrammes of mixed scrap compared to even a year ago. They were at my home yesterday,asking if I wanted them to take away a greenhouse which had only been on my drive since tuesday.I only put it there until I made a base for it,if I had not been in I bet it would have gone. |

we collect white goods free of charge: we pay best prices for scrap cars and non ferrous and piles of scrap metal. we have 1 ton truck to 40 ton.so no job to small or large |

between 2.30am-8am someone tried to steal the hub caps off the car on keighley road only noticed as one on each side was poped out (tie wrapped on) also a neighbour had a single metal center cap stolen from his pick up on elliot street |

Caught some thieving gits in my garden last week looking at the kids bikes. Ive had to lock everything away now, didnt see any sign of a van though. |

there nothing i can say or do to stop these. ppl. u +need to find the reg numba. it police job to stop these. croaks. the enviromental agency can give out fines if the croak doesnt have the correct licence..the reg numbers given out on here havent been seen in keighley. so chances r there bradford lads |

Another one to keep an eye on PN02YEJ, white Transit tipper seen stooging around the Jacques Grove area today with old domestics etc in the back. They might have been genuine but didn't seem to know where they were going. |

Nah - easier to post on a tiny (sorry, Mr.Webmaster - but in the grand scheme  ) website and then complain that no-one did anything . . . and someone should . . .I've not seen 'em yet, so I haven't - I have an enormous distrust of any travelling scrap metal dealers after numerous bad experiences in the past going back over 30yrs - most amusing watching Police escort a horse-drawn one back to where he'd nicked a load of brand-new water main fittings by a Yorkshire Water dig and making him return the lot Bri |
