This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

early September. The 16th rings a bell, from when I walked past this morning. It is going to be a 'modern English restaurant.'

we went quite a few times under the previous owners and it was good. Then they started charging extra for veg etc and we never went again. If price is right and food is good it will do well but if they start altering the prices they are on the rocky road.

Think re-opening the Grouse can only be a positive for Silsden.
I'm looking forward to it opening - just hope they make its frontage look a bit refreshed & the food prices aren't too steep.

Does anyone know when The Grouse will be opening? There is no activity and the building looks neglected and abandoned. Also nothing on the website.
