This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

just wondered whether anyone has had any leaflets for the forthcoming local elections. I have had nothing as yet and did not get any last time either. No wonder there is always a poor turn out mind you there are only 3 choices this time which is a shame

Oh dear 'ted' thought you'd know it was the Tories in Bradford!

Just for your information all three Craven seats (which includes Silsden) are held by Tories, Messers Mallinson, Naylor, and Kelly.

alan, sounds like this is what local elections are about....people who look after local interests, not just flying the national party flag. I agree with you totally, although it's sometimes hard not to look at what the national government are doing overall, and often we don't know what the local politicians are doing on our behalf. Democracy is not easy at times, but it's better than the alternative.

Only one, yes ONE election leaflet this time, shows what those missing political parties think of us!!!

Why bother to enter when nobody knows who you are?
