Topic : Beware - Rear end insurance scammer possibly operating in silsden |

You may have heard of these scams where someone tries to force you to run into the back of them. Then there is an insurance claim for whiplash etc. if you do hit them. Well I'm pretty sure a guy in a battered maroon estate tried to do it to me yesterday evening just outside the bridalwear shop. In case you see it there is a big strip of gaffer tape on the back bumper and a big dent, where someone else has hit him already would be my guess. Lucky for me I was paying attention and just had my brakes serviced. He slammed all on, came to a complete stop for no reason I could see, nearly had me in the back of him, then shot off at top speed. Seemed very dodgy to me so just be aware, keep your distance and keep alert. |

When he turned the next corner in front of me he looed like a youngish bloke, not a youth, over twenty but not by much, white, dark/brown hair, unremarkable looking. Since I didn't actually hit him I doubt the police would be willing to do much about it. |
