haven't been on for a while so forgive me if this topic has been covered, but has anybody noticed that the pedestrian traffic lights at the bottom of Elliot street have developed a mind of their own? is it the wet weather or are they there for traffic calming (read enraging!!!) |

yep they have been set like that i think it is so middy can get out of the bottom of Howden road without any stress   |

yep they change to red even if no ones at the crossing,that was the point of putting the crossing there to help traffic out of howden rd and elliott st,but folk still block the yellow box junction there   |

It does help getting safely out of Howden Road for now(until new school is built) |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) quotebut folk still block the yellow box junction there I bet they would not block it more than once if middy was waiting to get out, A guy once cut middy up on a roundabout in Colne and to top it off he give middy the V sign WOOPS a bit of bad luck for him as he had to stop at a red light just up the road I have never seen anyone exit a vehicle in my life as fast as middy did that day and dont think i ever will again even if it the vehicle was on fire say no more |

By the thread title "farce" I thought you may have been on about the fact that this crossing was never finished properly. The anti skid surface shouldn't go through the crossing and the white lines are misleading as they didn't remove the old ones properly. All a bit half a job! |

As far as I remember part of the instalation was a pad at the end of elliot st/clog bridge to sense if there was a build up of cars the lights would then change to help people out of the road ends |
