Methinks someone at Enterprise Inns or whatever they call themselves, took their bat & ball & went sulking off home. I personally enjoyed the period the Atkinsons gave it a go. No matter what problems there may have been with the previous landlord/leasee, surely something could have been worked out to ensure this popular drinking hole remained open. It is a crying shame. First we lost the Grouse, then the Bridge, & nearly lost the Red Lion, now the Punch. |

well i know extreamly well and your right there would a been no better landlord anywhere,,,but if it wasnt going to work,,best thing to quit,,,,,,, when you say micky punch lost ,im bit lost,,,whats its opening as then in new year ,,, you get a bit slow ont uptake living int hills,,,lol, a very happy xmas btw to all you good folk,and a big un to mr mayor,,for what you do 4 this little place,,, |

Have heard a tenant is going in, so i think a tenant is not as tied to the range of beers, so could be quite a few hand pulled ales available. Before you all start shouting at me, i am not too sure of the facts, maybe someone can put me right. |

God help us if its going to end up as one of these naff gastro pubs, just what we don't need in Silsden in my opinion. Lots of activity inside the pub right now, maybe no public bar/ lounge as before. Just speculating. |

a gastro pub would be great, there is definitely a gap in the market for one in silsden, we need somewhere that serves great food in a nice atmosphere rather than just a "boozer" |

the pub is now fully tied,this means that you can only sell what comes through enterprise inns,the prices you have to pay are 3 times what you pay as a free house. we pulled out because david smart would not get on and do all the repairs required to allow us to take over his lease, enterprise inns were desperate to get their hands on the lease as we would of been able to buy our beer from anywhere from next may,so now you all know the whys and wherefores.in my opinion the punch will not pay on the new 5 year deal on offer from enterprise.no doubt someone will try so good look to them . |
