I've just started doing my Family Tree recently, and it would be a helpful receve information/Photo's, about both my Grandfather's family the"Broadhead's And my Grandmothers family the " Baldwin's, Both Silsden family's. My late Grandfather was, Mitchell Broadhead (1903-1967), He was a mill overlooker at Talor's Mill in Howden Road, Silsden, for many years, He also served with the West Yorkshire Fire Service, Based at Silsden in the retained crew for 22 years, he had a brother called Harry and a Sister called Madge, and lived in the late 50's early 60's at 36 Bolton Road, Silsden. His wife May (1904-2002)Nee Baldwin, also worked at Talor's Mill, and she had the following brother's and Sisters, Jonny,Alburt,Eve,Clara, Hilda and Percy. So if you've got any infromation on the above people/family's I'd like to hear it. |

hello, i have just been discussing your post with my father as i have heard him mention the family names you were looking at before. As far as i can make out May Broadhead (nee Baldwin) was the Cousin of my Grandmother Doris Mary Hudson(nee Jones).This was by way of Mays Mum who was the sister of William Bywater Jones(my Great Grand Father) who was the father of my Grandmother.Think i got that all down as it was explained to me.We are pretty sure of this but would appreciate any help fom you with regards this info's correctness. i know an old schoolfriend jamie whos parents david and maureen broadhead live on south view terrace in silsden and i believe david is related to the baldwins |

addendum. He used to live up Bolton Road. He seems to be the man you are seeking. Madge was Silsden Gala queen in late forties. |

He had a daughter called margaret and grandsons Graham Michael and daughter Carol who is a friend of our family. |
