as i said in an another thread you get a score of one if you dont put paperwork in or have it ready on time and several other reasons so its not a true hygiene rating,and thats from a silsden business man i know as it happened to him,you get rechecked and regraded when you do put it in, so its very miss leading, they should give a letter instead of a number for no paperwork. |

Yes i have used them twice recently and food very good used to use x hills but not any more george's place is fab have they been taken over ? |

Am I the only one who finds the star rating for hygiene silly. You are either hygienic and safe or unhygienic and unsafe. I cannot for the life of me see how there can be anything in between. |

I agree completely. It's a paper exercise. What it does is show that an place can keep good records (there's is a cursory check of the premises) - the theory is that if you can't keep records, your hygiene is poor, this is often true but it doesn't stop those who are good record keepers from having staff who never clean their hands or whatever. It should be a pass or fail thing, you can't be a little bit hygienic, you're either safe or not! |
