how did you manage to do it online? its not "live" till february, I have been trying to do it but the "click here" does not work. Peter is aware and told me I could print off the draft or wait till online is available |

At the moment the paper version of the survey is being printed. It will need delivering to every household in Silsden CAN YOU HELP?. The website 2012survey.silsden.net provides information about the survey, a sneak preview of the questions (a draft of the paper version can be downloaded) and there will be a link to the online version when the paper version is delivered. I.E. you will have a choice to complete the paper version of the survey, or the online version - they have the same questions. At the moment we NEED YOUR HELP to deliver and collect the paper version of the survey. "Good sleuthing" Dr Watson. We hoped we could co-ordinate the paper version with the release of web address of the online version. As you have found out there is no hiding place from Google. We have ONLY got enough people to deliver and collect survey forms for about 10% of the houses in Silsden - WE NEED MORE HELP! The Local Development Framework (LDF) plan proposes the construction of 2000 new homes in Silsden by 2025. 'The Silsden Town Development Plan' will be a document based on the result of the 2012 survey (it will be YOUR VIEWS on what YOU want to happen to Silsden over the next decade) If you like where you live, and perhaps don't want to see drastic changes forced upon us, then you need to complete the survey provide your views on the place YOU want Silsden to be. However, we need your help to get as many people as possible to complete the survey. I have volunteerd my services and completed the survey on line.However, I am a bit confused, who instigated this survey? I thought it was silsden town council, in which case why aren't they doing anything? I did e-mail the clerk a few weeks ago and never got a reply, also when I clicked on submit a message came up saying my response had been sent to bradford council?? yet you say silsden town council will use our responses to submit a document to bradford.Can you explain it to me. Also I doubt you will get much help offered through silsden net as it has a very limited audience, Is there anything in the shops or library or doctors about help being needed |

The survey is a follow on from the survey which was done over 10 years ago and from that survey the Silsden Town Plan was written. The survey was done on a voluntary basis then as it is now. I thought it was silsden town council, in which case why aren't they doing anything? Silsden Council do need to update the Silsden Town Plan, the current document is over 10 years old and needs updating. With the LDF looming they need all the help they can get. The Town Council have not been directly involved up to this point but they have provided money for the printing of the survey forms and given support. There has been a great deal of work and time given by a small number of volunteers to get the survey questions correct before publication. The survey will be in a paper based version delivered to every Silsden household and there is also a on-line version (this is hosted by Bradford Met and is the same questions). Not everyone has internet access and the paper version also serves as publicity for the online version (which is the preferred method of data entry because the answered can be collated by computer). Besides the website 2012servey.silsden.net which provides more information and links to the online version and allows you to download (and print) the paper version of the survey: There are boxes with reply slips are placed at: Co-op; Post Office; Library; Twiggs; Howden Rd Stores; Aireview Stores; Dental surgery; Methodist Church. (Doctors surgery declined to take one). I doubt you will get much help offered through silsden net as it has a very limited audience silsden.net gets a lot of local reader on this forum BUT people do not like volunteering they are very happy to moan about things. Please help, tell your neighbours, the more people we can get involved the better will be the results of the survey and the more influence we will have over what happen in Silsden in the future. I see that the council are holding a meeting on 21st february in silsden to get peoples views on the development plan, is this not a bit late? I thought all comments had to be with bradford by 20th jan but that they would consider looking at comments up till end of feb.I doubt anything will be submitted to bradford before the end of feb, I am suprised our ward councillors have waited so long to have this meeting |
