Went to Asda wednesday, they had had a manic 2 days. All staff on floor filling shelves. Friend said same about Morrisons. Went to Sainsburys yesterday to get the bread, same there. Staff saying how bad it's been. All stores saying worse than Christmas!! I ask you, don't folk keep a larder these days or is it just mindless buying.Unbelievable some folk. |

Why do people do it? For one thing, because they've been told: "Don't panic buy", and inevitable the word "Don't" got filtered out. Also because they've been told that they might have to go into self-isolation for 14 days (sorry, correction, up to 3 months.) What do they do if they need food, medication and toiletries? No problem - get your friends and family to leave them on your doorstep. What if they haven't got any friends or family, or if they're all also self-isolating? Ermmmmm .... That seems to be the point at which the glib answers run out.
As well as the big picture, the powers-that-be need to start thinking about the details. |

no bread at coop 11am so panic buyers must be branching out,so why are they not limiting 2 loaves per person so locals, (that are not panic buyers), can get their bread.but did hear a good thing they turned away a couple from bradford and told them to go and raid their own local shops, dont know how true that is but that a plus if they did. |
