Just wanting to clear a point for my cousin.

He thought that he had seen archery targets, complete with the coloured canvas on boss. I said I had only seen the marked distances for the golf driving range.

Can anyone clarify please?

As far as I know, they are markers for the driving range. I don't think there are all that many archery clubs locally. I've seen the odd one at the game & country fairs.

Local business opportunity?

There have been archery classes at South Craven in the past.

I think a local club was going to be doing a demo at the Gala but due to the change of venue there wasn't a suitable space available. Ask for Charlie at the King - he shoots arrows on a Sunday for a club.

As far as I know, Aire Valley Archers at St Ives is the only target archery club in the area. They used to shoot at South Craven school as well, but that stopped about 2 or 3 years ago.

Next nearest would be Bronte at Apperley Bridge.

Dodzi: that was the plan - as you said, there wasn't going to be enough space to shoot safely.

Thanks bogrunner, that is what I thought and I used to shoot at St Ives and only knew of the other venue at Apperley Bridge.

I will tell my cousin.
