Now I know in the past we've been told not to put people's details on here because its mean and nasty and whatever else, but I'm past caring when it comes to these roadworks. So how about a list of all the registrations of all the numpties going through red lights, driving through the park, overtaking cars stopped at the zebra crossing, speeding across the crossing when people are on it, blocking Clog Bridge, driving on closed roads and doing whatever else they feel they can get away with. Be interesting to see if any crop up more than once.

Have some sympathy for that idea, BUT ain't that's what we've got police for?

Maybe they should be more proactive while the roadworks are on?

I suspect if we reported every single incident of illegal stupidity the police would get sick of us and stop caring. Certainly if vehicles are committing offences a number of times though. And also, the police can't be there all the time (too much paperwork).

Perhaps the police should be proactive and find their own acts of stupidity wink ;)

Maybe a few pics on YouTube, but not while you are driving!

do you lot never stop moaning about anything, go live up in the top of Scotland or some where remote with no cars, no fights, no roadworks, no parks and no people maybe then you may be happy but I think not as you would not have anything to bloody moan about

I'll second and third that suggestion, bugger off bogtoss, you've proved in the past your opinion is that of a halfwit; we don't need any more evidence.

Bogtoss has a point. Moaning always exceeds doing something about it by a factor of 100 or thereabouts in any situation.

Just been watching a programme on BBC Tv about survelliance kit one can buy. A camcorder that is about the size of a matchbox, runs for two hours for example. So if someone really wants to do something it is easy enough to get the information.

A camcorder strapped to ones cycling helmet certainly improves the way motorists behave.

I've got to say thank you and very well done to the Mr and Mrs Police in Silsden yesterday evening, you truly made my night.

Whilst sat at the traffic lights I spotted a hair dryer coming out the bottom of Elliot St, closely followed by another, which was then followed by a police van!
I know its not like I won the lottery or anything, but it did make me smile all night. Maybe now they wont think they are above the law..

Was just a shame they weren't about at lunchtime yesterday when the stupid blonde in the burgandy Audi A3 decided to park on the double yellow lines next to the ducks. It wouldn't be so bad but she then walked back up the street towards the FREE carpark. How thick are some people?

Excellent, yet another sterotypical 4x4 driver. Why is it they feel they have to live up to what is expected when they drive these cars?
I think we are all just going to have to accept that we can do absolutely nothing to help these people or indeed make our roads/paths safer. We could list them, name and shame them but nothing will ever change.sad :( they are inconciderate people who are obviously lacking something somewhere.

"people who are obviously lacking something somewhere." Yes a real 4x4 e.g. Land Rover or Jeep

It makes me laugh when I see a real 4x4 having to tow these "city 4x4's"(fakes) when they decide to drive on damp grass!

Best story I read about poseur wagon owners concerned the first batch of Freelanders. Evidently there was fault that meant the 4 wheel drive did not always work. Rover sent out a recall to dealers who duly fixed the problem.

Rover had no one complain because the 4x4 was not working and I think the number of vehicles was in the 1000s.

Why is it that every know-it-all feels the need to pidgeon hole a particular type of car, be it a 4x4, Volvo, Skoda, BMW etc? Has it not occurred to them that people choose a particular type/make of car for a multitude of reasons? Off road ability probably doesn't even figure in some decisions. My Missus fell for the promulgated garbage that the Mondeo is a good car - it isn't - and she'll be going back to a 'soft roader' and good on her I say.

I drive one because I go on construction sites, tow a horse box, bike trailer, provide radio communications for fell races, and (most important) I damn well like it wink ;)
