This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

At the september meeting of the Town council it was said by the district council member, "Give us the money now and we will get your CCTV up and working by Christmas" unfortunatley he didn't say which Christmas. They have now had the money for six months, and still no sign of our CCTV.
How much longer do we have to wait? And how much interest has Bradford council got from keeping our money in their account?

'grandad' I would not want to fight Bradford's corner for them, but, as I said in a previous post, I am sure it is not just a matter of ordering a camera and sticking it on a post!

I am sure that there will be infrastructure works and links to organise. I have no doubt that you will have noticed that they're putting a link from the Town Hall from the library for broadband etc.

I think that this may just be one of those occasions where a little patience will pay and the CCTV will appear before too long.

p.s. don't try to shoot me instead of Bradford these are only my thoughts wink ;)

Alan
The broadband link to the Townhall has nothing to do with the CCTV!
If he knew it would take this long, why did he say it would be in by Christmas?
Why couldn't the money have stayed in a Silsden account, earning interest for this Town, instead of having to be put in Bradfords account?
I am not getting at you Alan but these questions need to be asked.

Broadband has 'grandad'happy :)

Why don't you ask the District Councillors, it's coming up to election time and no doubt whoever is up for election will be wanting to take credit for it wink ;)
