Perhaps you'd enlighten me "wahiba" but I always thought that "recognised" was spelt with an S in English? Perhaps you may be using an American spellcheck? You'll have to excuse my ignorance. |

Yes, one has to be careful when using spellcheck it isn't always appropriate as the previous post on this forum has obviously found to his/her cost. One should also beware of color, center etc etc. |

I wondered if anyone would pick it up. I had noticed. As I understand it though the s and z thing is not an issue, unlike color and colour. It through the latter up as an error, so I amended it. I heard or read recently how these differences came about. It was Webster, of US Websters dictionary fame, who thought it was about time to simplify some silly English spellings. I believe quite a number of his suggestions were not accepted. Pity, I think he was on the right lines. |
