I lived in sykes lane app 1951 to 56 went to school in the Church Hall to start then moved to the school not sure a what age. Mr Rundal was the teacher wonderfull man i did find myself in a school photo taken outside but not been able to find it again can anyone help i am not in any of the other photoes that have been posted .
I have happy memories of my time in Silsden we lived in the bunglow next to Mr and Mrs Tom Wrigglesworth coal mearchats also had race horses grandson called John. I have looked on google but not able to see down Sykes Lane are they sill lived in ?
The only person i had contact with after we left was Maureen Ambler later Lonsdale who passed away some years ago
I would be greatfull if anyone could tell me how to find the school photo as i have nothing of my days in Silsden

Thanks Bob dont know if you can help my name was Christine Hind i was about 8/9 when we came to Sisden my dad got a job at Goose eye quary and the bunglow went with the job we were there about 5rs then came back to Lincoln.
I found some school photoes on the web site taken out side the prefab class rooms some were planting trees othere were of the class sat around Mr Rundal and i am sat on the right front row on the mats i am not on any of the junior school photoes listed on the site
I did find a site for Me Rundal once but not beable to fid it again but that could just be me .

There's an article about him at www.keighleynews.co.uk/news/10003866.Geoffrey_Rundle__six_decades_as_a_king_of_panto/?ref=rss and some more, including photos (Google Geoffrey Rundle). He taught me at South Craven in the mid 70's - great teacher. happy :)

thanks yes i found the photo what a shame its not with the others school photoes and remember all the teachers talked about but can not remember any names in the class maybe someone can jog my memory
Can anyone tell me if the bunglow in Sykes Lane is stil in use
I have looked at the old photoes of the town and remember the milk bar and going to the playing fields and walking in the blue bell woods just outside Silsden with the school also walking in the beck-- happy days
