IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

I read that former Silsden and South Craven teacher Mr Rundle has passed away.Always remember him has head of year and the humour in the Library whenever he appeared dressed as a woman in his role at the playhouse.

Another great one gone. I remember his two favourite phrases " You're in bother" and " you go ring the bell" A man of many faces, having you in fear for you life if you didn't listen and kindly explaining where you'd gone wrong. Then in pantomime doing the same jokes and the same slapstick every year, but having the knack of making you feel you'd heard it for the first time.

God bless R.I.P

I only knew him from Keighley Amateurs. Together with Keith Marsden they wrote some excellent pantomimes. His humour was so dry that rehearsals were hilarious. Those years were good memories for me. My husband speaks of him as being one of his teachers. RIP
