has anyone else had there gas meter checked this evening worried it bogus |

I have never heard of anyone checking meters on an evening, It is obvious that you are worried, did they show any form of identity. were they in uniform, Did they go into any room out of your sight, did it seem as though they were looking around the house. |

Talking of which, I had a call on my mobile today with a disembodied voice saying they were from Barclays and asking for two numbers of my PIN. I hung up immediately. Barclays said it was a phishing scam, as i suspected. He said if anyone from the bank calls they never ask for numbers, just passwords, dob, etc. The alarming thing was that the number displayed was Barclay's freephone number. |
