and we ended up going to one just up the road at the Steeton Cricket Club, very nice, £5 a family and a decent display too, not as good as Silsden was last year but still good.

When are these fireworks going to stop in Silsden ?
Every night last week somebody has been setting off loud fireworks. I'm getting fed up with the extension of November 5th.
Is the local shop still selling them ?

I totaly agree, they are frightening my dog everytime they go off.
I think it's time the sale of the dammed things were banned, so only properly organised displays can set them off, Nov 5th and the nearest Saturday is enough!

Some individual, for want of a better word, let some off in the early hours of this morning, waking my 3 year old up. Not amused!!!!!

I enjoy firework displays, but there is a time and a place. Four O'clock in the morning is certainly not one of them.

some people were letting them off one night last week by the canal swing bridge for about half an hour in the pitch dark, not sure why they would do that but they had driven there in cars, 3 of them.there are sheep in the fields by the canal who are pregnant!!
I read a sad story in daily mail about a dog rescue centre where most of the dogs had been terrified by the fireworks and ripped their claws out trying to escape from their runs, it was ver upsetting to see the pictures, I agree its time for all fireworks to be banned unless for an organised display which must be well advertised so people can make arrangements to protect their animals
