This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

Having already posted my opinion of black as a car colour I will now rant about the car colours on option. Passing the Toyota garage everyday, and going in once every 10000 miles or so with the car, I have noticed the bland colours on sale. As far as I can make out if you do not want a metallic look then it is red, white and maybe blue and green, and that is it.
If you want dull grey then there are a lot of varieties. If you want a car the colour of sewage, take your pick. But a colourful car, forget it.
Trouble with 'metallic look' cars is that the 'metal' in the paint eventually goes rusty and the car takes on a dull sheen. Probably a ploy for to get rid of them. Whereas a nice red one just polishes up for years.
Yep, our car is red.
Also, whatever happened to two tone cars?

Maybe that was a colour scheme to far.

If we are to a recession I reckon people will start buying more cheery coloured cars though.
