After the success of last year’s ‘Diamond Do’ - Silsdenbury Fest is all set for Sat 24th/ Sun 25th August. This is a free event, run on a not-for-profit basis by volunteers for the local community. We are looking for people willing to help out on the weekend with: • Litter picking • Raffle Ticket selling • Setting up/ clearing away • Anything where you can share your expertise You can give as much or as little time as you can spare – from an hour to the whole weekend! We are grateful for help from people from any age group – the young, to the more mature - There’s a job for everyone! Help us make this event a success for everyone. i thought the topic was asking for help .if you look on our website you will see the setup .A lot of time and effort goes into this event which is free for the community so your remarks are not welcome . |

Tell me the truth are you really going to get people to pay £100 for a couple to go there without accommodation I think the jurys out on that , were in silsden |

its £49 for the 3 days incl camping and 3 days of entertainment,day ticket £25,family ticket £100,which is not that bad,get your hands in your pocket and chill or space out for 3 days,a great event to bring money to silsden,loads will be going up town during the day to pubs,shops,cafes etc,and think of all that extra traffic GREAT PS I HOPE ALL SIlSDEN BUSINESS AND SHOPS ETC WILL BE OPEN ALL WEEKEND to grab the extra trade |

And wot if all safety measures put in place ie all safety measures tick the boxes and all proccedes put in places ie frencing security on for 24 hrs it is not a free for all try challenging effort before given a negative response and come and see for yourselve |

Nobody has come out against the festival its just discussions on a discussion forum. Could be good for the town bringing trade and people into town. I saw Ska Face up at the park and enjoyed the whole gig but its not something I would pay to see. I might have a wander on the public footpath on the riverbank to have a nosey. Hope it works out and the weather stays fine and it becomes a regular event, anything that puts Silsden on the map. |
