This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

I wonder if anyone can help me,i'm trying to find out about a derelict house on the canal side just opposite silsden boatyard.I would like to know the address and if possible who owns it.We have passed this house on numerous occassions when we have been on the cannal and think it is such a shame that such a beautiful house is sitting empty.WE ARE NOT PROPERTY DEVELOPERS.

Walked along that way. Not sure what building you mean. However, from what I remember of the development model, existing buildings with people living in will remain. Non residential buildings will either be demolished, or converted to residential use as part of the development. I cannot remember any buildings on the plan that were in a no mans land.

I can't remember who owns it but it is being left empty as it is due to be knocked down when they build all the new houses.

It was showing as being intergrated, not knocked down, in the last plans I saw.
