does anyone know a tv engineer ? ive just bought a Panasonic smart tv and I cant get it set up. im usually quite good at this stuff, but this is doing my head in. |

thanks midway terrier, it will not connect to the wifi router ? im going to have another go today , but despite putting the router next to the tv last night I still had no joy. it's possibly something simple, but google offered no solutions, and I don't have a lot of patience........ we also have a couple of other rooms with tv issues so it may kill one bird with two stone . |

Is it possible,could be you have already tried, to hardwire the router. most problems disapear if you can. |

I have a sky q system and I tried that, I think its because the tv was set up previously by my son, he had it for a month from new, and he gave it to me it seems its the tv settings, which o don't want to start tampering with.. ive got it running with sky q , but I wont connect to the internet. which isn't much use for a smart tv. |

First thing I would do is find the option in the menu to re-set everything to the factory settings. This will leave the TV as if you had just taken it out of the box. I just installed my new TV and it did everything itself as soon as it was plugged in, the only input I had to do was type in my router password when it asked for it. |

ive tried all that ,reset it twice now, reset my router, reset my q box, reset my q mini box. moved the router next to the tv took the tv downstairs to try in a better wi-fi spot ive wired the tv direct to the q mini box with a hdmi lead, and it works fine, but I cant get the internet to connect, which isn't much good on a smart tv. let's just say that I may have a 50" 4g Panasonic tv for sale soon, one with a fist shaped hole in the screen . |

its now fixed and working perfectly. and I have a confession , I was entering the wrong number every time, I was using the router pass key , not the router Encryption number. it sounds a daft thing to do , but ive a router, a booster, a mini box and a main box and each one has 3 or 4 numbers on the serial code stickers underneath the permutation's for entering the wrong number is in the millions , according to the engineer who fixed it. |
