Most nights when it is fine I can smell smoke at about this time, 6pm-ish and onwards.
I live on Hillcrest Avenue. I've been out and looked for the source but can't see anything.
It's not nice and permeates the house if we have windows open. Anyone know where it might be coming from or can confirm I'm not having nasal hallucinations?
I might have to venture further afield in search of the source, and take a watering can with me |

Probably down to the increase in wood burning stoves |

the main culprit seems to be sykes lane, we have noticed it on many occasions and if we are out walking up swartha you can see it quite clearly usually early evening.I think this has been raised many times on here but yet nothing seems to happen. There are also a few culprits at steeton and the smoke and smell drifts across to silsden, the golf club do it as well. |

Is it not their right to have a bonfire as long as its monitored by a "responsable adult"......
Someone had a fire on and it wasn't monitored by a adult just kids, anyhow when the fire department called out the guy jumped out his house claiming he had been there all along and the fire department just left him to it, it was on a public place and the flames were well over 6ft |

Actually, no it isn't their right.
All of Bradford met is a "No Burn" zone. This means you are not allowed to have a bonfire (exception for Nov 5th of course) and just burn what you like when you like, not even just garden waste.
If people are reported to the Council and found to have broken the by-law they can be fined, normally not the first time, but after a warning then yes. |
