Do you think it is right that a NONE TAX PAYER like LORD ASHCROFT can spend the MILLIONS OF TAX he has NOT PAID to fund the reply post cards from Kris hopkins.I have not put mine in the bin I have posted it so the stamp will have to be paid, none tax paying millioners should not be able to affect the outcome of an election.

victor....in the interests of fairness, will you be doing the same with the Labour leaflets? They have a few very wealthy non-doms as well, who have donated large sums to them in the past. They are all the same, and I think the Lib Dems have a few as well! It's all part of politics, although I think it will all change after the election when someone will have to clean everything up.

The trouble is can we really trust any of the parties to change things once they are in power?

Sorry I'm so cynical but I'm really fed up of dishonesty in politics. Even if you say it's not against the law and no-one ever lied about it, it's still very dubious morally.

Do we really want people who avoid paying UK tax on the majority of their earnings representing the electorate in the commons or sitting in the Lords?

jonno, I'm with you on this one all the way. Too much has happened to disillusion everyone about the way politics works, we can only hope that with a fresh approach something happens to change it.
Barack Obama was elected to "change" the way things work, but even he's having problems moving ahead, hopefully he can succeed.
Problem is that we don't have any leaders who inspire us to do what has to be done for the UK, we can only wait and see if things change after the election.

The problem is that every party in pariament is corrupt. They all voted for the expenses system which allowed them to milk the public of millions.
They can then say they didn't break the law but it was them that passed it in the first place.
No matter how bad a job they do individualy nobody get's sacked.
They don't even have to do much these days as most of the law is made by the EU which nobody voted for and they won't let us have a referendum on it because it may not be good for us but it's good for them. They make millions from it.

It really makes you think about standing as an independent candidate. I'm sure a platform of honesty, integrity and "do no evil" (to quote google's founders) would go down quite well.

I have always voted for a mainstream party, but no more. They have all shown themselves to be corrupt and keen to make massive money for themselves instead of looking after the voters and yet I feel if you don't vote for anyone then you can't complain so I'll probably vote for UKIP as they seem a good chance to restore democracy which we don't have now.

Phone call today to 'contact' Kris Hopkins. Obviously Ashcroft money at work in Keighley.
Well, it has certainly confirmed that he will not be getting my vote - just have to sort out from the rest nearer the time.
