Topic : Teenagers ! |

On Thursday I watched I watched 600 teenagers parade for nearly two hours in the pouring rain. Not one of them stepped out of line or as far as I could see missed a step. During this time each of them carried a rifle which is not light and in a few cases was not much smaller than the person carrying it. Makes you wonder when people go on about teenagers. Is it them, or is it us? |

I guess that there are always some teenagers who have no wish to live a decent life, or who get a bad example from others, and turn out wrong. Then there are the 600 you saw, some of whom may have to lay down their life for us all, we should be glad there are such people still around. |

I've been a teenage for the last 40 years and I haven't done anything wrong. I wouldn't parade around for hours in the rain though. |

I am a teenager and I don't cause havoc to the community and I don't hang around street corners! Obvioulsy, I've only ust become a teenager but it's good to see people that don't always assume all teenagers are bad-though some are! |

James - there is a book called 'Hooligan'. I think it is out of print but a library will be able to get hold of a copy. Read that and you will realise that having 'teenagers' as the latest 'bogie people' is just the latest. It is a phase that will pass. When I were a lad the big problems were the 'Teddy Boys'!!. Hanging around street corners, being disrespectful, carrying knives, cutting cinema seats and each other. Sound familiar. Also the fashion of the 'bogie' of the day ultimately becomes mainstream. The present piercing fashion is all down to Punks going mainstream!!! So, watch out for high fashion Goth and high fashion Hoodies. Believe me, it will happen. Milder forms will be on sale in M&S!!! |
