HOUSEBUILDING requirements for the Bradford District have been overestimated by more than 10,000 homes, claim opponents as they prepare go before a Government planning inspector over the district’s Local Plan. Consultants hired by Bradford Council to conduct research underpinning the Core Strategy of its proposed new 15-year development policy have overestimated housing requirements, say local planning campaigners. www.ilkleygazette.co.uk/news/11839461.Housing_requirement_figures_are____overestimated____by_10_000/ |

Self interest at work again. There is a national housing shortage. However, if more houses are built it reduces the shortage of housing. More houses means the price of housing will fall. Currently the housing shortage is artificially over valuing the housing stock. With an increased housing stock rents will also fall. This is simple economics:shortage equals high price, surplus equals low price. So for all those happy to welcome Aldi and falling fuel prices. Are you prepared to welcome falling house prices? |
