At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Were glad we don’t use Elliot Street much. If this is a good advertisement for the services of Gold Leaf...we deffinitely won’t be using them. Come on Silsden get your thinking caps on and do us somat proud. Passed the Butchers today and it looked like some christmas scenes were been put onto the windows there. We look forward to seeing them very soon....Like the other painted windows from 'Le Tour' they brightened up our Silsden shopping. |

Peter, could we please have Rosy taken off the site? |

Thank You Everyone. We know who the Bullies are now on this Forum and who deffinitely needs to be taken off. We take offence to many of your outrageous comments but unlike children we don’t go out of our way to bully people. The Window image we think is pretty tacky and that’s our view, like it or not. My hubby was totally amazed that what could have been a nice tasteful window display could have been put to use so wrongly. We are sure Paul is a nice chap like many folk we meet, but come on it says nowt about his printing services. Paul if you are reading this please think again...we promise we won’t run you over like we nearly did during the summer, when for some unknown reason you ran out diagonally across the road instead of using the crossing! See you in the new year for another XX-large printed shirt! |

Came back last night from 'down south' and Silsden looked brilliant with all the lights and decorations. A big thank you for all the hard work that everyone put in. To the minority who can do nothing other than criticise and knock what others who care for Silsden are doing, working hard to make it a place to be proud of - please keep it to yourself as you are spoiling the forum for many people who visit the forum everyday from all over the world. |

Rosy Lea, you seem to go out of your way to offend someone every day. I hope that Paul from Gold Leaf will bar you from his shop. The window display is o.k to me. And I am with Listener and back his remark to have you removed.. |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) Let's not forget, this is the lead up to Christmas, the season of good cheer to All men. To the folk that make the effort to add a bit of colour to the occasion, well done and thank-you for your efforts. There are so many good, kind, hard working people that use this forum that work for the good of all in Silsden, to ridicule them isn't just, if there are people that do not agree, join a group that works towards a better environment for all. No point in slating all and sundry and doing b all about it. Oh, and a P.S. hope Paul does something for Easter |

unfortunately we can't please everyone the window is about xmas not advertising but obviously some people prefer to hide behind a name on a website and slate the window. why not come in face to face and voice your opinion. As every other comment we have had has been a positive one voiced in person by the people of Silsden!!! BAH HUMBUG ROSY LEA |

Good for you Paul, that's all I can say. Nothing to do with advertising, just entering the spirit of the season. It's nice to see that Paul, Anthony and Sam have made such an effort to brighten up the start of town. I think the majority of us know what Paul does, from experience, he's done a couple of rather obscure jobs for us that we were thrilled with and very grateful for his time to produce something unique. |

I think it's a great idea to suggest that there should be a best window display, and that we can re-capture the spirit there was leading up to Le Tour. We came past the Gold Leaf window display just as it dropped dark, and it looked lovely. Well done. |

Drove past Emmas' pet shop this morning that too looked lovely and colourful. Best window display is a good idea, something else to add to the list of good things happen in Silsden. |

I am loving all the windows in the shops. I have been inspired and plan to spend the weekend designing and making some things to go in my house windows to cheer up the Keighley Road end of town a bit.Perhaps if I have a go other will too. If we can do it for Tour de France we can surely do it for Christmas |
