This website and forum has been living on borrowed web server time for years. At the end of this month silsden.net in it's present form will cease to exist, BUT there is a new silsden.net in the making, and a new forum, and lots of exciting new things coming to this space. Peter

A lady was knocked down by a car at the crossing near Twiggs.
My wife was up there not long after and saw the police talking to an oldish chap who was presumably the car driver.

I dont know if the lady was injured.

keighley news said serious accident in silsden but police said minor injury.
I wonder whether the car did not bother to stop at the crossing, something which happens far too often. I hope the lady is ok

there is an article in the craven herald today about the zebra crossing at the junction of Elliott Street, cllr Naylor suggests that the improvement work at this crossing might have prevented the accident which occurred a week last wednesday.
I was under the impression that the accident occurred on the crossing by Twiggs is this not the case?
